For more than nine decades, Madam Marie's Temple of Knowledge has welcomed visitors to one of the most beloved corners of the Asbury Park Boardwalk. The booth became woven into the fabric of Jersey Shore culture — immortalized in song, photographed by passing tourists, and quietly treasured by neighbors who grew up under its glow.
Today, three generations later, the tradition is carried on by Dainzie Madam Marie — a psychic reader and spiritual healer offering palm, tarot, energy, and chakra work with the same warmth and care that made Madam Marie a name people remember. The original Madam Marie has been reading fortunes on the Asbury Park boardwalk since 1932 — and, as Jersey Shore legend has it, that included a young Bruce Springsteen before the world knew his name.
The Boss never forgot her. He wrote Madam Marie into his classic "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)", sealing the Temple of Knowledge into music history and into the heart of the boardwalk itself.
Three generations later, that same gift lives on with Dainzie Madam Marie — carrying the family name, and the legend, forward.
